Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information: identifiers and contact information you submit through our evaluation form (name, email address, phone number, state, ZIP code); financial information about your tax situation (approximate tax debt, tax agency, filing status, type of tax problem); internet and device activity (IP address, device and browser characteristics, pages viewed, quiz progress); and advertising data (the campaign, ad, and platform that referred you, and identifiers stored in cookies).

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, measure our advertising, and run experiments. These include: the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which shares information about your visit with Meta Platforms, Inc. so we can measure and improve ads shown on Meta's platforms; first-party visit and click identifiers used to attribute your visit to an advertising campaign; and a cookie used to assign you to a version of the page for testing. You can limit tracking through your browser settings, and we honor opt-out preference signals as described under "Your right to opt out of sale or sharing" below.

How we use your information

We use your information to match you with a third-party tax resolution provider, to transmit your request to that provider, to operate, measure, and improve our advertising and this website, to maintain records of your consent, and to comply with legal obligations.

Sale and sharing of personal information

We are a lead generation business. When you submit the evaluation form, we sell or share the information you submitted — including your contact information and tax situation details — to one or more of our third-party tax resolution partners, listed on our Partners page, in exchange for compensation, so that they can contact you about their services. We also share internet activity data with advertising platforms (such as Meta) for advertising measurement, which may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. We additionally disclose information to service providers that support our website operations and analytics; those disclosures are not sales.

Your right to opt out of sale or sharing

You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time by visiting our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or by emailing info@ap-funding.com. We also treat the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser you use it with.

Contact and consent

By submitting the form, you authorize us and our partner provider to contact you by phone, autodialed or prerecorded calls, SMS/text messages, and email. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, by informing the provider that contacts you, or by emailing info@ap-funding.com.

Data retention

We retain lead records and records of your consent for as long as needed to operate our business and to demonstrate compliance with telemarketing and consumer protection laws (generally at least four years), after which they are deleted or de-identified.

Your state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, among others), you may have the right to know or access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will verify your identity using the information associated with your submission and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome of your appeal.

Children

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
